Tretyakov Gallery holds the second "Night of the Arts"

The State Tretyakov Gallery prepared a special program by November 3, when the All -Russian Festival “The Night of Arts”, aimed at involving spectators in a cultural dialogue, will be held in Moscow for the second time.

The main event of the “Night of Arts” in the Tretyakov Gallery on the Crimean Val will be the program “Prigov. Text ”, prepared by the winner of the Golden Mask Award, director Yuri Muravitsky, artist Ekaterina Shcheglova and students of the workshop of Dmitry Brusnikin.

The Progov.Text program is dedicated to the leader of Russian conceptual art Dmitry Prigov (1940-2007) and aimed at talking with the museum guests about conceptualism through different forms of communication.

An “open microphone” will work - an interactive action in which everyone will be able to take part and try themselves in public reading of the artist’s texts. In the lobby of the museum, thanks to the audiovisual installation (dir. Yu. Muravitsky), quotes and fragments of Prigov’s works will come to life.

Also in the program of the evening, musical performances for two plays by Dmitry Prigov - “Revolution” and “I play the accordion” performed by students of the workshop of Dmitry Brusnikin (dir. Yu. Muravitsky, initiator of the project of the head of the latest trends K. Svetlyakov).

In the conference hall there will be a lecture “Book cover as an object of design and object of art”, organized together with the “Encyclopedia of the Russian Avangard”.

In the main exposition of art of the twentieth century, the community of art emitors and volunteers of the Tretyakov Gallery will conduct excursions for everyone. Especially for the "Night of Arts", the "Encyclopedia of the Russian Vanguard" prepared expanded descriptions for the paintings.

On the mezzanine for children and parents, a "site for Georges" dedicated to Dmitry Prigov will be organized. As you know, at the beginning of his career, the artist was engaged in the design of playgrounds. The reconstruction of one of them will be recreated for the "night of arts."
