Avakov dismissed the Shakhtersk battalion due to looting

Over the past day, the separatists attacked the positions of the Ukrainian military in the Donbass more than 50 times. The shelling was led from mortars, rocket systems of volley fire, receiver artillery, tanks and small arms.

The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov ordered to disband the Special Purpose battalion "Shakhtersk" due to frequent cases of looting among its fighters. He stated this, speaking on the "1+1" television channel, reports Ukrainian Pravda. "Not the entire detachment of 700 volunteers was engaged in looting, but only 50 people, but these 50 people were able to discredit the honor of the entire special detachment," Avakov said.

Yesterday, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed the Law "On a Special Order of Local Self -Government in certain areas of Donetsk and Lugansk regions."

The document determines the temporary procedure for organizing local self -government, the activities of local authorities in certain areas of Donetsk and Lugansk regions. A special order in these areas is introduced for three years from the date of entry into force.

Extraordinary elections of deputies of district, city, rural councils in certain areas of Donetsk and Lugansk regions are appointed on December 7, 2014.

According to the law, the state guarantees the prevention of criminal prosecution, bringing to criminal and administrative liability and punishment of persons participants in these areas.
