The anti -corruption case against Turkish ministers fell apart before the court

The Turkish prosecutor’s office removed the charges from 53 suspects arrested as part of a loud corruption scandal , shocked by the Government of Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the end of 2013, Newsru Israel reports with reference to the Today's Zaman newspaper.

Erdogan, who then held the post of prime minister, accused law enforcement agencies of attempting a coup.

Under the investigation were the Iranian businessman Reza Zarrab and the sons of several ministers, including Barish Gullen (the son of the former Minister of the Interior) and Kaan Chaglayan (son of the former minister of economics), and the son of Erdogan Bayractar Ecology. All three ministers were resigned due to the scandal. Then, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for European Union, as well as ministers of justice, transport, family policy, sports and industry, lost their posts. The general manager of the Hulkbank Bank Suleiman Aslan was also arrested.

In response, at the direction of the government, about 400 police officers were resigned, many of whom were involved in the investigation.
