Finalists of the Kandinsky Prize were announced
Today, October 20, a list of finalists of the Kandinsky Award 2014 is published.
According to the Prize website , out of 35 works of nominees, the international jury chose nine finalists - three works in each of the nominations:
"Project of the Year":
- Irina Korina - "Chorus"
- Lilia Lili-Mi-Yang-"Masters/Servants"
- Pavel Pepperstein - the project "Holy Politics"
“Young artist. Project of the year ":
- Elena Rykova - "Mirror Galadriel"
- Timothy Radia - "Everything I know about street art"
- Albert Soldatov - "Baltus"
“Scientific work. History and theory of contemporary art ":
- Victor Misiano - "Five Lectures on Curatories"
- Igor Chubarov - "Collective sensuality: the theory and practice of the left avant -garde"
- Mikhail Yampolsky - "Picturesque gnosis"
“The jury examined and discussed many interesting projects, our choice was not easy. Carrying it out, we were guided by three important aspects: relevance, timelessness and successful use of materials, ”comments the jury, the historian of art, director of the State Museum of Contemporary Art in Thessaloniki Maria Tsantsanoglu.
The exhibition of the Kandinsky Prize is held until November 30 at the former cinema "Drummer" in Moscow.
