The case of insulting Putin, initiated against opposition politician Boris Nemtsov, has been returned for further investigation. Such a decision, as Nemtsov told OVD-Info, was made by the Magistrate's Court at his place of residence. The decision was made two weeks ago, but the Investigative Committee says it has not received the case materials, Nemtsov said. The case was initiated in connection with the appearance on YouTube of a video in which Nemtsov, while in Kiev at the Russia-Ukraine: Dialogue congress in April, in a conversation with reporters, said: “He is f***ing, Vladimir Putin.” According to a linguistic examination commissioned by the Investigative Committee, the obscene word used by Nemtsov means "odd, crazy" and carries negative evaluative information.
