Lyudmila Bogatenkova, 73, was detained on October 17 in Budyonnovsk after a search of the office of the Committee of Soldiers' Mothers. She was charged under part 3 of article 159 of the Criminal Code - fraud on a large scale. On the evening of October 18, Bogatenkova was transferred to the Pyatigorsk pre-trial detention center "White Swan". As the lawyer Andrei Sabinin told the Dozhd TV channel : “She was not accepted into the Pyatigorsk pre-trial detention center, after which she was sent to Budennovsk. For two days she spent the night in a pre-trial detention cell. And today the investigator decided to choose a written undertaking not to leave as a measure of restraint.”

Currently, Lyudmila Bogatenkova is at home, the issue of her hospitalization is being decided in connection with the state of health that has deteriorated sharply over the past two days.
