The prosecutor demanded nine months of prison for the son of Dudaev

In Lithuania, where, in the case of falsification of passports, the son of the leader of the Chechen separatists Johar Dudaev is judged, the prosecutor asked him to be sentenced to nine months in prison with a postponement for one year, Interfax reports.

The prosecutor noted that the defendant Degi Dudaev pleaded guilty. He allegedly committed a crime out of a desire to help relatives living in Russia to go abroad. When the sentencing in this case is expected, it is not specified.

Dudaev found himself guilty in November last year. Before that, he denied guilt, stating that he only helped people living in the Caucasus get to Europe. Three of his accomplices were partially guilty.

The youngest son of the leader of the Chechen separatists was detained in Kaunas in the spring of 2011. Under him, fake Lithuanian passports were found. Later, his accomplices were detained. At the same time, only one of the defendants was left under arrest, the rest, including Dudaev, were released during the investigation.

According to the investigation, Degi Dudaev and his accomplices traded fake Lithuanian passports. Documents that allow you to freely move around the EU countries, they sold illegal immigrants from Russia and Georgia. Dudaev was also accused of storing drugs, but on this charges, as noted, the statute of limitations has already expired.

The Johar Dudaev family settled in Lithuania after his death. At the same time, the local authorities honored the memory of the leader of the separatists: they named the square in Vilnius in his honor and placed a commemorative stone there.
