According to the investigation, Labbe is suspected of involvement in the abductions, torture and killings of civilians during the dictatorship of Pinochet 1973-1990. However, the lawyer of the arrested Christian Espoja continues to insist that all charges are fictitious, since his client did not take part in illegal actions. “All his fault is that he served in the army at that time,” he said after the arrest of Labbe.

Meanwhile, the arrest of the former associate of Pinochet was another blow to the right party, an independent democratic union (VDP), which is a member of which is Labbe, despite the fact that it is already worried about the best of times.
