According to the plot of Passengers, on the transatlantic liner 15 years after the end of World War II, the former oven of Auschwitz Lisa and surviving in the conclusion of March are found.
The plot of the novels of the Polish writer Zofia, based on the memoirs of the former prisoner of the concentration camp, turned out to be close to Moses Weinberg, who lost a family during the Second World War.
The opera in two acts, eight paintings with the epilogue was completed in 1967, received Shostakovich’s approval, but for a long time in the USSR, for obvious reasons, was prohibited. The premiere in concert performance took place only in 2006 in Moscow, and the passenger was first received in 2010 at the Austria festival in 2010.
