The problem of debt to Capello will be solved at the Executive Committee of the RFU

The issue of debt to the head coach of the Russian national team Fabio Capello will be considered at a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Russian Football Union (RFU) on October 30. This was announced by TASS by a member of the executive committee Sergey Stepashin.

Capello is not paid a salary of more than four months. A contract with an Italian specialist is calculated until 2018.

“I will attend a meeting of the RFU Executive Committee,” Stepashin emphasized. “Several questions will be considered on it, but the main financing will be on it. The World Cup will be held in Russia soon. On the eve of the executive committee, as far as I know, the Supervisory Board of the Russia -2018 Organizing Committee will be held. Therefore, the RFU must solve all these financial problems. Let us consider the issues of debt to Fabio Kapello.”

According to the media, the debt of the RFU to an Italian specialist is about 250 million rubles . Under the contract, he receives 9 million euros per year.

According to Stepashin, at a meeting of the executive committee, certain requirements will be made to the coaching staff of the Russian national team.

“But the horses are not changed at the crossing, and in the match with the Austria team he must rehabilitate himself. Together with the team,” he emphasized.

Another source in the RFU told the agency that at a meeting of the executive committee, a program for preparing the Russian national team for the 2018 World Cup developed by Capello may be presented. However, the presence of an Italian specialist at the meeting is unlikely - it is possible that instead of Capello the program will be presented by the general manager of the Russian national team Oresta Chinkvini.

"Also at a meeting of the executive committee we will clarify the issues of the Russian Championship. See what cold weather is in the yard? And the quality of our stadiums is not good in all cases," Stepashin said.
