The court arrested the driver of the snow -off machine Vnukovo Airport

The Basmanny Court of Moscow arrested Vladimir Martynenko, a driver of a snowplifier car, with whom, when taking off at Vnukovo Airport, the plane of Total President Christophe de Margeri collided. Martynenko was detained until December 21.

The investigation was on the arrest. According to investigators, remaining free, Martynenko will be able to hide, put pressure on witnesses and destroy evidence.

The judge read out a medical certificate, which states that, according to preliminary data, Martynenko was intoxicated at the time of the disaster. The lawyer of the detainee Alexander Karabanov called these conclusions absurd, because, according to him, they "were made on the basis of a visual examination by Martynenko by a doctor after the disaster," but there are no results of the tests yet. The defense asked to put the driver under house arrest and offered to make a deposit of a million rubles so that Martynenko could be released. According to lawyers, the scapegoat is made of it.

Martynenko himself said in court that he was working with the investigation and was not going to hide. According to him, he is aware of his involvement in the tragedy and now he is very difficult.

The Falcon private aircraft crashed in Vnukovo on Tuesday night as a result of a collision with a snow removal car that appeared on a runway. Four people who were aboard, including the president of Total, Christophe de Margeri, were killed.

Among the priority versions of the incident, the investigation considers the error of the dispatchers and the actions of the driver of the snow removal machine.
