
Today, October 27, at the age of 84, the art historian, a specialist in Russian art of the XVIII-XX centuries Gleb Pospelov, died.

Gleb Gennadievich Pospelov was born in 1930, in 1952 he graduated from Moscow State University, in 1955-1957 he studied at the graduate school of the Institute of History of Art of the USSR Academy of Sciences (now the GIA of the MC RF).
He worked as the head of the department of Russian fine art and architecture of the XVIII - XX centuries of the State Institute of Art The Culture of the Russian Federation.
Gleb Pospelov was one of the leading specialists in the work of Mikhail Larionov, participated in the organization of several exhibitions of Larionov in Russia and abroad, as well as in the procedure for taking the artistic heritage of Larionov in France, bequeathed to the Russian museums.
Doctor of Art History, professor, author of a number of works on Russian art, including the first monograph in Russia about the Bunny Valet.
