
The Basmanny Court of Moscow extended the arrest of the Ukrainian pilot Nadezhda Savchenko, Rapsei reports . "Having examined the presented materials and after listening to the arguments of the parties, the court concludes that the investigator’s petition for the extension of Savchenko is a preventive measure in the form of detention until February 13 is subject to satisfaction," the judge said.
Savchenko refuses to undergo a stationary psychological and psychiatric examination in the Center for Social and Forensic Psychiatry named after Serbian. This was stated by her lawyer Ilya Novikov before the meeting, TASS reports . "Savchenko does not participate in the examination for personal reasons. She fundamentally does not answer the questions of the doctor, does not participate in the examination, the examination is not actually carried out," he said.
The defense intends to petition for Savchenko’s personal participation in trial, the lawyer noted. She was not taken to court precisely because of a stationary examination. In this regard, the law allows a meeting in its absence. In addition, lawyers Mark Feigin and Nikolai Polozov were also absent at the hearing. According to Novikov, the defenders are in Kyiv.

Meanwhile, Savchenko may become a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada. She headed the election list of the Fatherland party along with Yulia Tymoshenko and Igor Lutsenko. According to the CEC of Ukraine, after processing half of the ballots, the party gains 5.69 percent of the vote and goes to parliament.
The 31-year-old Savchenko fought in the east of Ukraine as part of the Aidar volunteer battalion and in June was captured by the militants under the city of the happiness of the Lugansk region. The pilot was sent to an examination to Moscow by decision of the Soviet District Court of Voronezh on August 27 .
