
On Monday, People's Artist of the USSR Joseph Kobzon, as he was going to , arrived at the Donbass, where he was going to distribute humanitarian aid and perform concerts in Donetsk and Lugansk, TASS correspondent reports.
In the city of Makeevka, Donetsk region, Kobzona was met with applause, RIA Novosti correspondent reports. The artist visited the hospital N2, where he talked with doctors and patients and sang his song to them: "Donetsk, Donetsk! City of coal, city of roses!"
At a meeting with the team of the hospital, Kobzon said that he was not afraid of possible sanctions of the West and Kyiv in connection with a violation of the ban on entry into Ukraine. “They say to me: Ukraine will not let you in. So, this is not the same Ukraine that I love and know. My Ukraine is Donbass. I will come to my homeland, I am not interested in the rest,” he explained, adding that he crossed the border without problems.
Kobzon handed over to the Republican Endocrinology Center in Makeevka 2.5 thousand insulin packages, which were immersed in 52 boxes, reports TASS.
In Makeevka, Kobzon also visited the N8 school, where for teachers and students he sang the song "I love you, life!". It was reported that in the educational institution the artist also had to distribute humanitarian aid.
Joint with the academic ensemble of the song and dance of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Joseph Kobzon in Donetsk took place with the Hall of the Opera Hall, RIA Novosti reports. For those who did not fit in the hall, a broadcast was organized on a large screen on the facade of the theater.
Kobzon performed both his hits of different years and new songs. And in the end he invited Alexander Zakharchenko to the stage of one of the separatists leader, with whom he performed the song "I love you, life!" Earlier, the press service of the Government of the self-proclaimed people's Donetsk Republic reported that Kobzon at the concert will perform the anthem of the republic written by him.
It was also reported that the singer will visit the Saur -Mogila Kurgan, where he would give tribute to the dead - at this highest point of Donbass, bloody battles were carried out both during the Great Patriotic War and during the current military confrontation of Kyiv and separatists. The mound will take place the laying of the monument to the victims of the war, in which Kobzon will take part.

The singer asked Russian journalists to transfer to Lubkovsky so that he first grown in Ukraine "to the level of Kobzon." "I go to my homeland, in the Donbass, where I was born and where my navel was buried, where I was awarded three orders of miner's glory of all degrees and three orders of mining valor. Joseph Kobzon is an honorary citizen of Donetsk, Slavyansk, Makeevka, Kramatorsk, Artemovsk, Gorlovka and other cities of the Donetsk region. He was born in 1937 in the city of Yar, Donetsk region. In early September, deputies of the Dnipropetrovsk City Council deprived Kobzon of the title of honorary citizen Dnepropetrovsk, which he was awarded in 1995. Commenting on this decision, the People's Artist noted that he expected this from the deputies, and is very glad that this happened, since he was "ashamed to be called an honorary citizen of the city of Kolomoisky", referring to the oligarch Igor Kolomoisky.
