
More than 2.6 thousand Russian troops applied for the receipt of housing subsidies within the first two months after the emergence of such an opportunity, the director of the Department of Housing of the Ministry of Defense Sergey Pirogov told reporters.
“To date, the regional structures of the department have received more than 2,600 statements from military personnel who decided to abandon a natural apartment in favor of a housing subsidy for the purchase or construction of a dwelling,” RIA Novosti quoted.
He added that the money has already been transferred to the accounts of 1.3 thousand people. “Most of them have already managed to purchase housing,” the representative of the military department added. The head of the department noted that the first results of the issuance of subsidies indicate that military personnel acquire housing significantly more meter at the funds received, which is supposed to be provided. They prefer individual houses with a land plot.
"For example, an officer who has a one -room apartment with an area of 32 square meters was able to purchase in the suburbs of Novosibirsk a two -story Townhaus in 140 square meters with a garage and a land plot. Another officer, serving in the Central Military District, acquired a two -story cottage with an area of 150 square meters in the Krasnodar Territory," - Pirogov noted.
He said that in the regions the amount of housing subsidy allows you to purchase two apartments at once. With the help of a housing subsidy, military personnel can acquire both ready and under construction. They can use both their own and borrowed funds, as well as maternity capital.
The Department of Housing in accordance with the Order of the Minister of Defense organizes work to provide a housing subsidy for those who were registering in need of housing until January 1, 2012. The presentation of the first housing subsidies to the military was held on August 22, seven officers of the Western Military District received certificates of money from the hands of the Minister of Defense Sergei Shoigu.
