Five people were detained at the protest of teachers and doctors at the Moscow City Hall, and the OVD-info reports. All detainees were delivered to the Tver police department, but later released without charges.
The medical workers gathered for a rally due to the fact that the housing policy department, according to the protesters, does not make decisions on housing.
According to Novaya Gazeta, 13 teachers and doctors came to the city hall building on Tverskaya, and announced the beginning of an perpetual protest campaign. They took with them tents and sleeping bags in anticipation of the response of the metropolitan government.
The participants in the initiative group tried to transfer to the reception, but the few managed to go inside - at the entrance the police did not let people without registration. They explained that the Department of Housing Policy refuses to register them, since housing is not owned by them.
An employee of the reception of the city hall by the name of Fedotova told those who were missed that it was necessary to write an appeal not in the name of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, but in the name of his deputy Anastasia Rakakova.
Members of the initiative group said that a year ago, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin personally instructed to provide house workers and teachers who turned to him with housing, but they did not fulfill the order.
