Putin fired the first deputy minister of justice

Russian President Vladimir Putin dismissed the First Deputy Minister of Justice Alexander Smirnov. The corresponding decree is published on the Kremlin website.

Sergey Gerasimov, who previously held the post of deputy minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, was appointed another decree to his post.

Major General of the Internal Service Alexander Smirnov held the position of the first deputy minister from June 30, 2012.
