The delegation of businessmen from the United Arab Emirates, led by a representative of the royal family, Sheikh Tahnun Bin Zayed al-Nahayan, arrived on Thursday in Grozny. The guests met with the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov, got acquainted with a number of investment projects of the republic, visited the mosque and the Hafiz school in Argun and Gudermes. The delegation was also included in the American architect Edrian Smith, the author of the Burj Khalifa project.
“Edrian Smith will study and evaluate the project,” Muhammad al -Abbari said during the negotiations. The designer will also have to adapt the project to Russian standards, taking into account the seismicity of the region.
The Akhmat-Tower multifunctional center with an area of 19 hectares provides for the construction of an 80-story building on the model of medieval Chechen towers, which will place offices, restaurants, spa centers, a hotel and apartment. Upstairs will be built the highest not only in Russia, but also to Europe with a viewing platform with which the whole city can be visible.
The project also provides for the construction of the Grozny-Mall shopping and entertainment centers, where world-famous brands will be represented. Chechen authorities assure that they have provided for “everything necessary for business, shopping and leisure”, and the implementation of the project will give a new impetus to the development of the region’s economy.
Burj Khalifa is the highest skyscraper in the world and the main attraction of Dubai, its height is 828 meters, in the building 163 floors. The total cost of the structure is about 4.1 billion dollars. The author of the project is the American architect Edrian Smith, who took part in the design of the Jin Mao skyscraper in China, whose height is 420 meters.
