This was announced at a meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Polytechnic Museum, its chairman, the first deputy prime minister of the Government of the Russian Federation Igor Shuvalov, reports TASS .
“This is a very interesting site. I think that this new form of storage will be in demand by Muscovites and guests of the capital, which will simultaneously perform the function of the exposition. Despite the fact that the main platform is under reconstruction, we see that the Polytechnic Museum lives and does it very successfully, ”said Shuvalov.
In the technopolis "Moscow" (former AZLK plant), the Polytechnic funds moved in connection with the reconstruction of the historical building on New Square. Now they are located on an area of 15,000 sq.m.
According to the Deputy General Director of the Polytechnic for the Development of Natalia Sergievskaya, the collection shows “how objects live before they fall into exhibitions, how the process of studying and restoration is going on.” The installation is opened by the exposition, demonstrating how the approaches to the formation of the meeting have changed for many decades, since 1872.
In the spaces of the stock, a collection of cars, bicycles, space objects and other inventions, including scientific ones, is presented. Especially for the opening of the funds, racks were arranged for showing small items, such as watches, printed cars and scales.
You can get to the exposition by preliminary entry, and excursions to the Open Funds of Politha will begin on November 3 at the “Night of the Arts” .
Currently, in the historical building of the museum on the New Square there is a reconstruction on the project of the Japanese architect Dziyuny Isigami -by 2017, Polytechnic is transformed into the “Museum-Park”-it will be surrounded by greenery, it will have an underground floor, which will become a continuation of the park zone, and the courtyards will be tightened with a film.
While the project is developing according to the schedule, but, as Igor Shuvalov noted, the reduction of budget expenditures may affect the time of the opening of the historical building of the Polytechnic on New Square.
The temporary exposition of the Polytechnic Museum since spring has been working in Pavilion No. 26 VDNH.
