
A test launch of the Topol-M intercontinental ballistic missile was made from the cosmodrome in Plesetsk. According to RIA Novosti, citing the Russian Ministry of Defense, the rocket successfully struck the conditional target in Kamchatka.
"On November 1, at 9:20, the Plesetsk cosmodrome was launched by the intercontinental ballistic missile (MBR) RT-2PM2 Topol-M Minity Basics, the ministry said in a statement. It is noted that the purpose of starting was "confirmation of the technical characteristics during the operation of the ICBM of this type."
The department emphasized that the Topol-M missile system is completely ready to carry out combat missions.
"Start once again confirmed the correctness of the technical solutions laid down when creating the Topol -M missile system, and its readiness to carry out the set combat missions, as well as the extremely high accuracy of destruction of goals," the Ministry of Defense said.
In 2008, the reform of the Armed Forces began in Russia, and in 2011 the re -equipment program was launched. Until 2020, it is planned to spend about 20 trillion rubles on it. Initially, it was calculated that by this time the share of modern equipment in the army will reach 70 percent. In addition, a program of re -equipment of the defense industry enterprises is being implemented in Russia. Until 2020, it is supposed to spend three trillion rubles for these purposes.
