The research company Ipsos Mori published the results of its study in 14 countries, which became a kind of index of adequate perception of the world. Sociologists identified several pressing issues (the percentage of immigrants in the country, the percentage of Muslims in the country, the percentage of elderly people, the number of births among minors, the number of unemployed, etc.) and asked respondents to give their answers to them, and then compared these answers with real data . The difference between the expected and real state of affairs was later considered by experts when assessing the adequacy of the population’s understanding of the problem. The difference could be 37% (as is the case with the Italian idea of the number of unemployed) or 23% (the case with the French idea of the size of the Muslim community in the country). It turned out that the Swedes have the most adequate outlook on life, while the Italians have the most inadequate views.
