Igor Plotnitsky, elected head of the self-proclaimed Lugansk People's Republic, took office. At the inauguration ceremony, he took an oath on the Bible and on the Constitution of the LPR.
In his speech, Igor Plotnitsky noted that the inhabitants of the LPR "have already achieved a lot, got rid of the oligarchs." He promised to fulfill his duties "with honor" and "to establish good neighborly relations with Ukraine."
