Arkady Dragomoshchenko Award announced a short list

Today, November 6, a short list of the first season of the Award Arkady Dragomoshchenko has been published.

The jury nominators and members of the closed voting chose three finalists from a long list :

• Nikita Safonov (Petersburg);
• Alexandra Tsibul (Petersburg);
• Lada Chizhova (Petersburg).

“The results require a small“ statistical ”comment. The first two finalists - Nikita Safonov and Alexander Tsibul - scored the largest number of votes of both nominators and jury. But in the third position, opinions dispersed. The nominators gave the third place to Stanislav Snytko (the fourth and fifth divided Ksenia Charyev and Lada Chizhova), while the jury is Lada Chizhova. At the same time, some jury members at the voting stage expressed doubt about the correctness of the nomination of the texts of Stanislav Snytko in the poetic bonus in principle, considering them prose (arbitrarily widely understood). Accordingly, a compromise decision was made and the list was adjusted in favor of Lada Chizhova, ”commented the jury chairman Alexander Skidan.

The jury of the award also includes Mikhail Yampolsky, Dmitry Kuzmin, Anna Glazova, Stanislav Lviv and Alexander Ilyanen.

The Arkady Dragomoshchenko Award was established in 2014 on the basis of the bookstore and the Cultural site “The Order of Words” in St. Petersburg and is awarded to poets not older than 27 years writing in Russian.

Presentation of the award and related events will be held on November 22–23 in the "Word Prince" and on the new stage of the Alexandrinsky Theater.

The size of the main award is 70 thousand rubles. Also, the holder of the main award receives the opportunity to publish a book in the poetic series "New Poems" of the publishing house "Order of Words". The finalists receive two incentive bonuses of 20 thousand rubles.
