This reminds me of something

Now many are looking for and finding various historical analogies with the present time. The parallels with the Nicholas eras are the best. Some people imagine Nicholas I, others Nicholas II, especially since drawing calendar parallels with Nicholas II is very tempting. But I didn’t find the Second Nicholas, much less the First. But from my short life experience I can remember something similar.

Stagnation... Then a small war in a neighboring territory... Olympics... Washington hawks... Cheap oil... Doesn't seem like it?
