The euro exchange rate at trading on the Moscow Exchange on Thursday in the middle of the day for the first time in history exceeded the mark of 57 rubles, and before the close of the main trading it crossed 58 rubles, Finanz.ru reported .

As of 18:34 Moscow time, the euro exchange rate with settlements tomorrow increased by 2.01 rubles and reached 58.09 rubles.

And the dollar exchange rate, which by 15:30 Moscow time for the first time overcame 46 rubles (amounted to 46.08 rubles), increased in price during the day by 1.69 rubles - to 46.83 rubles.

Since the beginning of 2014, the ruble has depreciated against the euro by 27% and against the dollar by 38%.

For the second day in a row, dollar and euro rates on the Moscow Exchange are breaking records. On Wednesday, November 5, the historical highs were 45.02 rubles per $1 and 56.37 rubles per €1.

Analysts surveyed by the publication explained the record fall of the ruble since the 2008 crisis by the decision of the Central Bank of Russia to refuse to support the Russian currency.
