
Several hundred people came to say goodbye to actor Alexei Devotchenko in Gogol Center, the correspondent of Echo of Moscow reports. Both his colleagues and ordinary spectators came to pay tribute to the actor.
The farewell ceremony lasted until noon. Then the funeral service and cremation will take place. They will bury Alexei Devotchenko in his native St. Petersburg.
The actor died on November 5, he was 49 years old. The investigation is inclined to the non -criminal version of Devotchenko’s death, despite the fact that in the first hours after the body was discovered the assumption that the artist could be killed.
On November 5, Devotchenko was found dead in a rented apartment. The law enforcement agencies said that there were no signs of violent death on the body of Devotchenko. In addition, the apartment was closed from the inside, and the offender could not slip past the video cameras.
The actor could die due to acute cardiovascular failure. In the apartment, empty alcohol bottles and packaging of the phenazepam tranquilizer were found. Probably, the actor was very drunk on the day of his death: a video was published how, a few hours before the death, he went to the store, staggering very much. The actor was barefoot and half -naked.
Note that in January 2012, Devotchenko was attacked in the subway. The artist then said that "some Dagestan guys decided that it was worthless with an earring in his ear to be a man," and "tore their earring." Law enforcement agencies later said that they have no information about the incident with the artist Devotchenko.
Devotchenko was a man with an active civic position. He was a member of the United Civil Front and a participant in several "marches of the disagreement." He also took part in the protests that began in Russia after the election to the State Duma in December 2011.
In November 2011, Alexei Devotchenko was in the focus of the media attention when he said that he refused the title of Honored Artist of Russia and both state prizes.
Alexey Devotchenko was born on October 14, 1965 in Leningrad. In 1990, he graduated from the Leningrad State Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography named after Cherkasov. He worked at the Bryantsev Young Spectator Theater, at the Lensovet Theater, in the Chamber Philharmonic, theater at Litein, Alexandrinsky Theater, the Tovstonogov Bolshoi Drama Theater. Since 2012, the actor has played at the Moscow Art Theater named after Chekhov.
The artist was twice awarded the Russian State Prize in the field of literature and art. The latter was awarded to him for the role of Khlestakov in the play "Examiner" based on the play of Nikolai Gogol.
