On November 22, one of the founders of the Live Cinema genre will show the audiovisual work “Seismik” , in which magnetic and seismic activity signals are woven into the visual series of performances, in real time removed using special software and antenna standing on the stage. Especially for this performance, the organizers build an eight -meter video screen.
This year, the Plumsfest 6 curators Anna Titovets and Kirill Markushin chose for him the theme “Contact surface / Face Contact ”. The festival program is divided into clear genres and directions that correspond to actual trends in digital art: immersive media, audiovisual performance Live Cinema , machines and mechanisms as performers, Camp (artificial aesthetics), electronic music and light-video performance.
The first event of the festival, before the official opening scheduled for November 20, will be the discussion “New Media: Russian Context” on November 18, which will be Ivan Polisky, Daria Parkhomenko, Alexei Shulgin, Natalya Fuchs, Sergey Kasich, Alexey Shcherbina and Anna Titovets.
The Plumsfest 6 exhibition project, in particular, includes an exhibition of media works that comprehend the aesthetics of Camp (the author of the concept- Daria Biryukova, the curator and employee of the video and film programs of the GCSI). The exposition will present nine works of foreign and Russian artists: Mike Kuchar , Luke Wyatt , Smash TV , Permin Blum , Tobias Bernstrop , Daniel Pflum , Poema -Taur, Protem Kavko.
