Representatives of the Kremlin and the White House denied that a conversation had taken place between Vladimir Putin and Barack Obama at the APEC summit in Beijing. According to the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov, there was "a brief contact" between the leaders of the two countries.

At the same time, it is possible that Putin and Obama will meet and talk on November 11.

Earlier, the Kommersant newspaper reported on the meeting of the presidents of Russia and the United States in Beijing. According to Andrey Kolesnikov, special correspondent for the publication, Obama and Putin greeted each other and talked for 7-8 minutes.

“They greeted each other, exchanged a couple of phrases. The two of them, the presidents, proceed from the fact that in the coming days they will also have the opportunity to have a short talk in the fields, ”Peskov said.
