The special correspondent of Novaya Gazeta Pavel Kanygin visited Donetsk and found out how the peaceful life of the city was being established.
According to entrepreneur Vadim, who owns several shops and retail sites for rent in Donetsk and the region, the DPR inspectors come for taxes three times a month and often take products and alcohol, since there are no cash from businessmen. One of the premises owned by Vadim occupied separatists and do not pay for utilities for their needs.
Ukraine begins to fence away from territories controlled by separatists, at least in the banking sector - an entrepreneur, who met the Novaya correspondent, could not pay for electricity accounts in the Mariupol branch of Oschadbank. He was replied that they could not accept the translation: "They say, this is already another state." In Donetsk itself, banks do not work.
