Russian President Vladimir Putin will take part in the 22nd two-day meeting of the heads of state and governments of the Asian-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum (APEC), which starts in Beijing on Monday. The week of the summit, the main theme of which is proclaimed the "formation of the future through the Asia-Pacific Partnership", began on November 5. The first day of the leaders of the APEC economies will be devoted to contacts with business circles, TASS reports.

Putin "on the sidelines" of the summit also planned several meetings with APEC colleagues, and a formal conversation with US President Barack Obama is not excluded. From the communication of the heads of the two states, the world community is waiting for the relief in the relations of the West and Russia in connection with the Ukrainian crisis. However, observers admit that there would most likely be no revolutionary agreements that could change the difficult situation in the international arena.

The agenda of the Beijing summit is focused on maintaining the positive dynamics of the development of the Asia -Pacific region in the context of instability in the global economy, the assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Yuri Ushakov told reporters. It is expected that at the first meeting the issues of deepening regional economic integration will be discussed. During the subsequent working breakfast, it is planned to pay attention to the tasks of strengthening comprehensive regional interconnectedness and improving infrastructure. According to Ushakov, the second meeting will be issued to the assistance of innovative progress, structural reforms and growth of the economy.

The head of the Russian Federation on Monday will discuss the widest range of issues - from the “bilateral agenda” to the investigation of the disaster of the Malaysian Boenig in the Donetsk region - at meetings with the leaders of a number of states “on the fields” of the APEC summit, Ushakov said. In particular, the issue of investigating the Boeing crash in Ukraine can be raised at a meeting with the Prime Minister of Malaysia Najib with a break. According to Ushakov, Razak "took a balanced, non -angled position" and urged the public to refrain from "unreasonable and premature accusations." The leaders of the Russian Federation and Malaysia will also discuss the key aspects of trade and economic ties, strengthen interregional contacts, cooperation in the field of energy, education and the cultural and humanitarian region.

Another meeting is scheduled for Putin with Indonesia President Joko Vidodo, negotiations will be the first after the entry of the Indonesian leader in October. It is assumed that Vladimir Putin on Monday will also speak at sections as part of the APEC business summit dedicated to the significance of the Asia-Pacific region (Asia-Pacific region) for Russia.
