In the West African state of Burkina-Faso, representatives of opposition parties, civil society activists and religious leaders agreed on a plan for preparing for the first free elections after the resignation and flight of the former President Blaz compass , who ruled the country for 27 years. The plan should now be approved by the former deputy chief of the presidential guard by Lt. Col. Isaac Zid, who proclaimed himself the head of state in an unstable transition period. The African Union requires a speedy return of power to Burkina-Faso civilian institutes.
The resignation of the compass followed after mass protests in connection with its attempts to change the constitution and achieve a new re -election in 2015. The dispersal of demonstrations led to the clashes of the manifestants with the police and victims. Now compasses are hiding in the cat d'Ivoire. On October 31, the military, led by General Honore Traore , dismissed the National Assembly and the Cabinet of Ministers and introduced a commandant hour, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Having promised the rapid formation of transitional authorities, they called on the population to return to normal life as soon as possible:

- The head of the armed forces expresses condolences to the families of the dead, calls for calm and restraint in all cities and rural areas of Burkina-Faso, and invites the population to return to everyday matters in the environment of peace and tranquility.
The very next day, November 1, Lieutenant Colonel Isac Zid , whom the military supported: the head of state :
- In anticipation of the achievement of consensus between all political parties and civil society organizations, and the development of the content and forms of peaceful democratic transfer of power, in order to maintain statehood since today, I have been imposed by leadership in the transition period and will play the role of the head of state. I am calling for the international community, primarily the fraternal countries and the allies of Burkina-Faso, especially in the African Union and the economic community of Western Africa, to demonstrate understanding and support for our people in this difficult period.
Isaac Zida. November 6
After the opposition, civil activists and religious leaders who lasted several days of negotiations, a plan was adopted, which provides for the formation of a temporary parliament of 90 deputies: 10 representatives of the army, 40 from the opposition, 30 from non -governmental organizations. Another ten places should be provided to former political allies Blaz Zartor. According to the plan, the Provisional Government of 25 people who will not be able to run for presidential and parliamentary elections scheduled for the end of next year should be formed. Another body with the participation of military, political and religious figures will be prepared by the following elections of the head of state.
The plan is under consideration by Isaac Zid, who promised to transfer power to civilian institutions as soon as possible. Representatives of the military in negotiations in the development of a plan for the settlement of the crisis in Burkina-Faso did not participate. The main question for which disagreements may arise is who will act as the president in the transition period. Earlier, Zida rejected the ultimatum of the African Union, refusing to regain power to the civil government within two weeks. The charter of the African Union prohibits the unconstitutional change of power in the member states.

For urgent negotiations with ZID in Burkina-Faso, the current chairman of the Union , President of Mauritania Mohammed Ulda Abdel Aziz , arrived on Monday. The meeting was organized at the Uagadug airport. Abdel Aziz said, welcoming Zid that he came "not to impose sanctions" and that the people of Burkina-Faso will decide their fate. The content of negotiations is unknown, however, both Zid and Abdel Aziz expressed optimism about the future development of events.
The United States has not yet recognized the fact that happened in Burkina as a military coup. Such a recognition would automatically result in the abolition of military assistance to this country, which is one of the main allies of the United States in the struggle against Islamic groups in Africa . Despite the accusations of the support of the rebels during the civil wars in Liberia and Sierra Leone, compaore repeatedly acted as an intermediary in resolving conflicts on the continent (primarily in Mali and Cat d'Ivoire), and his closest advisers participated in the liberation of the hostages captured by the Islamists from the West camp. In Burkina-Faso there is a special unit of special forces from France . Paris also directed unmanned planes to this country to observe the progress of the anti -terrorist operation.
The exiting former President Blaz Compaore
Blaz Komore came to power in 1987 as a result of a coup, whose victim was his predecessor, a former weapon comrade Thomas Sankara, a reformer known for his Marxist views. During the reign of Sankara, the country, previously called the "upper volt", received the current name, which translates as "land of worthy people."
