
The journalist of Yoda Darina Shevchenko found out how Dissernet works and why the project volunteers check the dissertations of officials for plagiarism.
According to one of the founders of the project, Andrei Rostovtsev, about 100 volunteers from different countries work in the disserte. They manually check the analysis of the dissertations that a special program prepares.
Anna is a candidate of economic sciences. She came to Dissernet in the fall of 2013 and is well familiar with plagiarism - her articles under other people's names were repeatedly published in scientific journals. According to her, the main task of "disserter" is not the exposure of politicians and officials, but the fight against lies and profanity in Russian science and education.
