Georgian businessman and politician Kakha Bendukidze died in London. The message of his death was confirmed on Twitter by Demyan Kudryavtsev.

Journalist Olga Romanova told Meduza, citing Bendukidze's secretary, that he was found dead in a hotel room.

• Kakha Bendukidze was born in 1956 in Tbilisi. From the late 1980s to mid-2004, he was engaged in business in Russia, in particular, in 1996 he created the United Machine Building Plants (OMZ) holding, which is currently one of the largest in Russia in the field of heavy engineering.
