Big man of Kakha
It came very hard for many news: Kakha Bendukidze died in London. Why London? No, millions of people live there for a long time and happily, hundreds of thousands come and safely, in full health, leave this city. But not Kach. In London, the life path of another sign hero of the latest Russian economic history, Boris Fedorov, also tragically ended. He was the youngest Minister of Finance of Russia, and then a successful entrepreneur. He died, barely celebrating his fiftieth anniversary.
There is nothing mystical or fatal in the London air for Russian businessmen and politicians. But the fact that such bright and relatively young people, albeit by the will of a fatal case, end their way so far from the place of their basic activity, there is some hint of their displeasure here and now. Kakha Bendukidze, although he was born in Georgia, and in the zero he was a minister in the same Georgia, according to the basic identification, so to put it, still a noticeable Russian businessman. If he had not been such, then the Minister of the Georgian government would not.
Kakha was very bright and big in all senses of the word by man. At the same time, he was very plastic and even graceful. He danced perfectly, easily moving to the music of any rhythm and genre. He did not complex at all about his overweight and said to my question about weight that he did not know for sure. The only place, he added where there are scales with a large scale - airports. But there everything ends with 150 kg.
Kakha was a charmingly interesting interlocutor and in any company invariably became the center of conversation, discussion, fun. He did not tell jokes - performed. Moreover, in other lips, these stories became boring and faceless. Some simple, but miraculously “placed” by Kahai jokes we asked him to tell him many or a lot of times. And every time it was funny.
But his main advantage was of course not jokes. He was the owner of not only a certain amount of money and some kind of business. He was the owner of important ideas, philosophy, ethics. He could tell unpleasant truth in the eye. But the addressee of these "troubles" almost never remained without reasons of how to fight these troubles. Because he knew how to understand, knew how to analyze macroeconomic processes, specific business cases, and simple everyday situations.
He brilliantly, interestingly and figuratively, performed both at narrow meetings and in student audiences, at various numerous official and unofficial discussions. It was always paradoxical and bright. But any attempts to make him write something for the newspaper (my colleagues-journalists made them repeatedly), right now, according to the said, they had never brought success. And all written retelling even from the dictaphone recording invariably faded, lost attractiveness. Because Kakha was unique, inimitable and, unfortunately, is unconscious.
With his departure, we have lost all a lot.
