In London, at the 59th year of his life, an entrepreneur, Philanthropist and former Georgian Minister Kakha Bendukidze died. This was reported by Georgian media. Bendukidze suffered from a cardiological disease, underwent surgery on the heart, has recently been treated in Switzerland.

Kakha Bendukidze was born in Tbilisi, graduated from the university biological faculty there, then moved to Pushchino and in the 80s was engaged in scientific work in the field of biotechnology and molecular genetics. In 1988, he began entrepreneurial activities, since 1993 he was engaged in the consolidation and restructuring of industrial enterprises. In 1996, he created the United Machine -Building Plants holding, which he managed until 2004. Bendukidze was the vice president of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.

In 2004, at the invitation of Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili Bendukidze, he entered the government and took up the radical reform of the Georgian economy and state apparatus. Bendukidza held the posts of the Minister of Economics, the State Directorate of Coordination of Economic Reforms, then headed the office of the government.

In 2009, Bendukidze left the civil service and created a charity organization of the Knowledge Fund to support education and science.

In May 2014, after the presidential election in Ukraine, Bendukidze entered the Economic Council under the new government of this country. He invited Ukrainians to carry out a number of radical reforms, including changing the tax system, increasing domestic gas prices, reduce the state apparatus, and start a rigid fight against corruption.

Bendukidze taught at the Department of Institutional Economics of the Higher School of Economics in Moscow. He adhered to Libertarian views.
