The curator of the next "Manifesto" was chosen

German artist Christian Yankovsky was chosen by the main curator of the European Biennale of Modern Art Manifesta 11, which will be held in Zurich in 2016.

Director of Manifesto Hedwig Feyien emphasizes that the artist is appointed curator Biennale for the first time in her history.

Christian Yankovsky (b. 1968) studied at the Hamburg Higher School of Fine Arts, lives and works in Berlin. In his promotions and media works, the artist uses cinema, video and photography, as well as painting, sculpture and installations.

Yankovsky is primarily known for performances with a non -artistic environment and its representatives, between contemporary art and the so -called “world outside of art”.
