The reason for the lawsuit was the article by Prokhanov “Singers and Srassfits” in Izvestia on August 18. It said that Makarevich gave a concert in the Ukrainian military unit in Slavyansk, thereby "inspiring the military to kill civilians."
“This is not a statement, but the opinion of a talented journalist, who is shared by many,” said RAPSI lawyer in court.
Makarevich really performed in the southeast of Ukraine, but not in Slavyansk, but in the refugee camp in Svyatogorsk. The musician demanded to refute false information, as well as recover a million rubles of compensation for non -pecuniary damage.
“I will give this money to Dr. Lisa, they will go to those children for whom I sang in Svetlogorsk. It is good that our court sometimes makes justiceing decisions, ”said Makarevich.
