For the first time, a joke was banned in Russia

The Industrial District Court of Izhevsk of the Udmurt Republic satisfied the claim of the prosecutor's office and recognized an extremist joke published on the VKontakte social network.

According to the information and analytical center "Owl" , we are talking about a joke, beginning with the words "court. The case of beating the Caucasian ... ”, which has a xenophobic shade, but does not contain direct dangerous calls for violence.

The court also forbade the demotivator “we’ll take hands, friends, so as not to disappear one by one”, on which four young people hold each other, forming a swastika. According to the prosecutor's office, this image contains a “direct call to the unification of efforts under the symbols of national socialism of fascist Germany.”

On the fact of publication of these materials, a criminal case has been instituted under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("excitement of national hatred").

The decision of the Industrial District Court of Izhevsk on the recognition of these materials was appealed by extremist in a higher court by the author of the publication on the VKontakte social network, but the Supreme Court of the Republic of Udmurtia left a complaint, and the decision of the lower court entered into force without changes.
