Grigauskaite called Russia a terrorist state in an interview with LRT. "Ukraine today is fighting for peace throughout Europe, for all of us. If a terrorist state, which exercises aggression against its neighbor, cannot be stopped, then aggression may spread in Europe," she said.

According to Gribauskaite, Ukraine needs political, humanitarian and military support so that the country can move in the European direction "not under pressure, without military interventions, without aggression." As the president noted, Lithuania, like other European countries, understands that the world needs to fight and protect him, and no one can dictate to a small or large state how it should live.

The Communist faction in the State Duma has already proposed to break off diplomatic relations with Lithuania, as well as impose sanctions against it. According to RIA Novosti, the deputy head of the Communist Party faction Nikolai Kolomeytsev made such an initiative. According to him, these measures will be a response to the "boorish and cynical statements" of the President of Lithuania.
