“Over the next two years, he will weaken, it will still be a little to take it,” he told reporters, answering a question about the forecast for the Russian currency.

“I have already said that the ruble has now absorbed all the risks associated with a decrease in oil price, sanctions, a slowdown in the growth of the Russian economy, partly the global economy, the abolition of the monetary softening program in the United States. This has been piled up almost simultaneously. Each of these elements had an impact on a decrease in the ruble,” he said.

According to the ex-Minister of Finance, now these facts are absorbed by the ruble, the ruble groped for balance. He added that some volatility will remain until the course is tired, the new Central Bank mode will enter into practice. “So far, everyone, including the speculators, will not try to break through the course several times, and until the Central Bank does not work out such situations and teach everyone that it will not be as the speculators want, the ruble will move gradually,” Kudrin said.
