This year, the Artdokfest documentary festival will open the last film by Hertz Frank “On the threshold of fear”, completed by director Maria Kravchenko.

Hertz began work on this epic documentary drama more than ten years ago, and four years ago, Maria Kravchenko joined him, who became the co-director of the picture.

For many years, Hertz has been looking for financing for the near -end and completion of the film, independently went to international pitching and forums to interest the project of international producers. Artdokfest will be held from December 9 to 17. The main site of the festival in Moscow will be the cinema "Formula Cinema Horizon", and the shows will also be held in the Fitil film club. The competition program has 17 films created by documentaries from Russia, Estonia, Switzerland, France, Germany, Holland, Ukraine, Latvia and Austria.

This year, the largest international documentary film festival in Russia did not receive state financial support, since the Minister of Culture Vladimir Medinsky does not agree with the political position of the President of Artdokfest, directed by Vitaly Mansky.
