British blogger Graham Philips was wounded near Donetsk. This was announced by Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of the RT television channel, with which Philips cooperates. The blogger was wounded by a fragment of a mortar shell during shelling near the village of Peski.

Komsomolskaya Pravda published photos of the blogger. The correspondent of the publication was next to him when a fragment of a mortar shell hit him.

The blogger's condition is assessed as "moderately severe."

British blogger Graham Philips moved to Ukraine in 2010. He ran the Brit in Ukraine blog, in which he talked about prostitutes, students working part-time in the escort service, hunters for foreign husbands, and so on. In December 2013, out of idleness, he began to shoot videos about the events on the Maidan, and then RT attracted him to cooperate.
When it became difficult for male correspondents to get to Ukraine, Phillips went to the south-east of Ukraine, where he began to shoot videos one by one about the militias and local residents. Buzzfeed journalist Max Seddon wrote that Philips denied journalistic ethics and objectivity.
Graham Philips was twice detained by Ukrainian troops. Once he was expelled to Poland. Nevertheless, Philips returned to Ukraine again.
In May 2014, RT, based on a tweet from Philips, issued a "lightning bolt" that he was injured. Subsequently, it turned out that a signal rocket took off from under his feet.
