Interview of Elizabeth Glinka to the Snob project - about orphans in Donetsk and relations with the authorities

Elizabeth Glinka, better known as Dr. Lisa, the founder of the Fair Help and the famous Phil Region-unexpectedly collided by the public for her activities and statements in connection with the conflict in the southeast of Ukraine. In an interview with Glinka, who repeatedly traveled to Donetsk, she said that she did not see the Russian military in the east of Ukraine, and then publicly supported the anti -war rally on November 4, 2014, organized by United Russia.

Journalist Ksenia Sokolova specifically for Snoba spoke with Elizabeth Glinka - and found out how she relates to criticism and the situation in the Donbass.

For several months, Dr. Lisa helps sick children and orphans leave the territory of hostilities in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions in Ukraine. Depending on each specific case, children can either be transferred to the Ukrainian authorities or send to Russia.

According to Glinka, the opinion of critics does not interest her. Her task is not a “struggle against the bloody regime”, but help to children. She was not at the same rally on November 4 - on this day Glinka was in Donetsk, and the letter in support of the event was signed because it was declared as anti -war. In the export of children, Glinka was greatly helped by the deputy head of the presidential administration Vyacheslav Volodin. According to her, there is an task to help the wounded, deliver medicines and warm things, and as with whose help it will be done, it does not matter. Glinka admits that her position implies a moral conflict, but notes that there is no “no effort, no time, no desire”.

“I believe that if Volodin and other people from power, who help me, did something bad in their lives, then, saving from the death of Bogdan, Ksenia, Masha, Kolya, Vasya, Danila and the rest of the children who would be guaranteed to die there, under the bombing, they bought a place in Paradise.”
