
Today, November 25, President Vladimir Putin signed a law that expands the action of the “anti -pirate law” to music, books and software.
According to Kremlin.ru , “the List of objects is expanding by law, in respect of which the procedure for restricting access to information distributed in violation of copyright and (or) related rights will be applied.”
The list is determined by the law "On Information". Now in article 15² of this law the words “films, including films, television films” are replaced by the words “objects of copyright and (or) related rights (except for photographic works and works received by methods, similar photographs)”.
In addition, the owners of the sites are assigned the obligation to indicate their names and contact information on them.

The anti -pirate law on video has been in force in Russia since August last year. Roskomnadzor blocks sites whose administration has not closed access to pages with content that violates copyright at the request of copyright holders.
