Prilepin won the "Big Book"

Today, November 25, a ceremony of presenting the National Literary Prize “Big Book” took place in the house of Pashkov in Moscow. Zakhar Prilepin for the novel "Abode" received the first prize.

By the decision of the jury “Big Book”, Leonid Zorin was awarded with a special prize “For contribution to literature”.

On Monday, November 24, the results of a reader's vote on the Internet were announced . The most popular were the “Time of the Second Hand” Svetlana Aleksievich, the “monastery” of Zakhara Prilepin and the “steamer to Argentina” by Alexei Makushinsky.

The Big Book Award has been awarded since 2005 and has the largest prize fund among Russian literary awards - about 6 million rubles. The laureate of the first degree receives 3 million rubles, the second - 1.5 million, the third - 1 million.
