Euroset will tell your credit history

Citizens' demand for credit histories is still small, but is growing rapidly - Euroset entered this market in November Daniil Zhelobanov

Several years ago, Euroset began offering non-targeted loans from different banks, then the idea arose to offer the service of obtaining a credit history not only to those who applied for a loan, but also to others, says a Euroset representative: “Our goal is to reach 20,000 applications per month.”

“Until now, we have been selling stories through banks and credit bureaus, but there are more than 60 million borrowers in Russia, so Euroset’s 5,000 offices will be very useful,” says NBKI Marketing Director Alexey Volkov. “Since 2010, demand has grown 44 times, with an average of 42,129 applications per month.”

The service at Euroset will cost 990 rubles. - this is comparable to the prices of other agents. For example, in Binbank, which also works with NBKI, according to the deputy director of the retail product development department Yulia Tuzovskaya, for Internet banking clients such a service costs 800 rubles, in the office - 1200 rubles.

Although the law provides for every citizen the opportunity to obtain a free credit history once a year, in practice this provision does not work. “You need to know the code of the subject of the credit history, then contact the central catalog of credit histories to find out in which specific credit bureau the history is stored, then submit an application by mail or telegram to a specific bureau, having it certified by a notary - and this also costs money.” , says Tuzovskaya. Once a year is not enough: people are taking out more and more loans, including short ones, and since July, information from microfinance organizations has been added to the database, i.e. people need to be sure that they have definitely repaid all loans “before payday”, and when -that they took it, and that there was no mistake in the recording, which happens quite often, Volkov insists.

“Credit bureaus incur costs maintaining access to the system, and it is fair to charge for the ease and simplicity of access to information,” says Daniel Zelensky, CEO of the United Credit Bureau (UCB).

OKB also notes an increase in demand “manifold and not for the first year,” but they are not developing work with agents. “We don’t need a thousand agents to have access to the database - it’s too difficult to control, it’s unsafe,” says Zelensky, but adds that he is ready to attract a partner for online sales.
