Metallica will come to Russia

On August 25, 2015, the American rock band Metallica will give a concert in St. Petersburg, and on August 27 he will perform in the Olympic sports complex in Moscow.

Tickets for the Moscow concert will go on sale on December 2 on the Kassir.ru website, its organizers, Live Nation and the SAV Entertainment group of companies - “Russian Show Center”. The preliminary sale of tickets for participants in the Metallica fan club will begin on November 27.

The concert in St. Petersburg is reported by TASS with reference to the PMI Corporation. Earlier, Metallica performed several times in Russia, but in St. Petersburg only once - in 2008.

Metallica , created in 1981 by the drummer Lars Ulrich and the guitarist/vocalist James Hatfield, sold more than 110 million albums and became one of the most influential and commercially successful groups in the history of rock music.

Several Metallica records received platinum status, including the last studio album, Death Magnetic , which lasted six weeks in the top of the Billboard 200 chart in the fall of 2008.

Metallica has several prestigious awards, among them Grammy, two American Music Awards and several MTV Video Music Awards awards. In 2009, the group was introduced into the Hall of Glory of Rock and Roll.
