2009. Crack "Nevsky Express"

Five years ago, on November 27, 2009, the Nevsky Express high -speed train crashed, following from Moscow to St. Petersburg. This happened on the 285th kilometer of the journey (the corner of the corner - Aleshinka, on the border of the Tver and Novgorod regions), near the village of Lykoshino. As a result of the explosive explosion with a capacity of 7 kg in the TNT equivalent and the departure from the rails of the four rear wagons, 28 people were killed and 132 were injured.

The crash was the result of the attack, the responsibility for which the head of the Imrat Caucasus took on Doku Umarov. 17 people were accused of organizing a terrorist attack, 7 of which, led by Alexander Tikhomirov, also known as Said Buryatsky, were killed, and 10 appeared in court. In May 2012, four terrorists were sentenced to life imprisonment, and the rest received from 7 to 8 years in prison.
