The euro exchange rate on the Moscow Exchange exceeded 60 rubles. The dollar is trading above 48 rubles. The ruble began to rapidly depreciate again after OPEC decided not to cut oil production in order to increase world prices for it.
The stock market also reacted to the OPEC decision with a decline. The RTS index fell more than 2% to 1006 points. The MICEX index fell by 0.37%.
- At the summit of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) on November 27, it was decided to leave oil production quotas at the same level - 30 million barrels per day. The quota will remain for at least six months. The next OPEC conference is scheduled for June 5, 2015.
- The Russian budget for 2015 includes an oil price of $100 per barrel. After the OPEC decision, the Ministry of Finance noted that under the current conditions, "even the scenario of $ 80 per barrel in the coming years can already be assessed as moderately optimistic."
- Oil and gas revenues account for about half of Russia's budget revenues.
