Roskomnadzor unlocked VIMEO video hosting in Russia after the resource of prohibited materials by the administration was deleted. This was reported by Deputy Head of Roskomnadzor Maxim Ksenzov.

"Vimeo has been unlocked. The information was deleted by the resource administration. It has reached the fourth time," Ksenzov wrote on Twitter.

On Monday, Vimeo was blocked behind the Islamic State’s video placed there, TJournal reported . The resource was not included in the official register of prohibited sites. However, according to users of a number of providers Ryazan and Bryansk, instead of built -in rollers and the service itself, the message appeared: "Blocked by decision of the federal executive bodies."

The site was blocked at the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office, the press secretary of Roskomnadzor Vadim Ampelonsky explained to the publication. The reason for the lock was materials from the film "Flame of War", shot by the Islamic State terrorist group. The video in Turkish appeared on video hosting almost a year ago.

According to Ampelonsky, the requirements of the Prosecutor General’s Office are, including due to the fact that there is part of the population in Russia that speaks this language. The authorities are opposed to the influence of recognized by extremist rollers on such people.

On October 26, Roskomnadzor included Archive.org , also known as WayBack Machine. This resource has a full archive of the Internet since 1996. At the same time, he was among the sites that did not fully comply with the requirement of Roskomnadzor to remove references to the video of the Islamic State called “Ring of Swords”, recognized in Russia extremist.

As a result of monitoring, the department revealed almost 400 links to Internet resources containing the specified video. Currently, at the request of Roskomnadzor, the administrators of the sites deleted 303 links. However, 70 links do not divert. In this regard, Roskomnadzor sent 32 pages to operators to block 32 pages on Archive.org, Bestgore.com, Uploadhero.com, Bigtorrent.su, Ex.ua, Videopress.com and Jihadology.net.
